India: The World’s Best Readers
While social media is very popular today, many people still love to read. India is the country where people spend the most time reading! A 2017 study shows that the average person in India reads for 10 hours and 42 minutes every week. This makes India the best reader in the world.
In comparison, people in the United States only read for 5 hours and 42 minutes each week. Other countries with high reading times include Thailand, China, the Philippines, and Egypt. However, India’s love for reading stands out, showing that many Indians value books and learning more than anything else.
