Ewa’s Amazing Paragliding Adventure
In 2007, Ewa and 200 paragliders were training in Australia for the world championships. Ewa jumped off, and after a while, she saw dark storm clouds in front of her, but she was calm. Ewa was soon pulled into the centre. She could hear the thunder and lightning around her. Luckily, Ewa had a GPS and phone on her shoulder; she called the ground team and said she could not see them. As she got higher, the temperature was 50 degrees below zero, and ice was around her body and face. She was 10 thousand km into the sky, and she blacked out. She was going toward the ground. Her fall suddenly woke her up. The earth slowly got closer and closer, and she landed in a safe place. She was on the ground. After she landed, she was still in danger. Ewa lay on the Australian savannah; she was frozen. Finally, the team found her, wrapped her in a warm blanket and put her in the back of a van. She was taken to the hospital immediately.
